Dee Taylor: Someone else is on our moon - Original framed
Dee Taylor

I work from my studio at The Stables, in Folkestone’s Creative Quarter.

My speciality is painting, and through this medium I strive to express a mood that will evoke an emotional response from my viewer. Vast and empty land and urban scapes offer me the elements I need to create the drama within my scenarios.

However, I have the startling tendency to shift my genres and jolt my pallet, this I do to refresh myself. Hence my work shifts from dark comment to almost pop culture. Though even with the change of subject matter and genre, my need to comment on contemporary culture remains unchanged.

This painting titled ‘Someone else is on our moon’ depicts an imaginary scene which comments on the belief that Apollo11 astronauts Armstrong and Aldrin experienced sightings on the moon’s surface that have been suppressed for almost 40 years.
