The Dirty Pen
www.instagram.com/dirtypen In 2012, a man was discovered in a Guatmalan Mental Institution scribbling on the hardened concrete floor. There was a single tiny pillar of light entering the room from the ceiling causing a patch of light on the floor about the size of a fifty pence piece. The occupant of the room was scribbling on the floor with blackened rats tails, forming tiny patterns within this small circle of light. Seeing the potential of this mans self taught ability, he was allowed to enter back into society and see if he could make it in the real world. After 2 years of working a day job and scribbling under torch light he slowly got used to working in a well lit room, along with using ink rather than the blackened rats tails. Soon, he was able to give up the day job and work full time on his detailed drawings in 2015. He now resides and works in The Old High Street, Folkestone. Not knowing what his name was prior to his incarceration, in reference to the black rats tails he used to use he now goes by the name The Dirty Pen. |
